We want our two winners to be people who are passionate about being Gamecocks, who brag about USC to their Clemson friends, who bleed garnet and black, and not only remember dressing up for football games — they still do. We want people who would love the chance to be part of everything happening at Carolina and spread the news to all alumni as a representative of graduates of the last decade... If that sounds like you, tell us why and how you’re the person we’re looking for!
As our next Faces of Y’ALL, you’ll attend University events, like games, donor receptions, groundbreakings, tours, and other fancy-type gatherings. You’ll be photographed, digitized, immortalized. You’ll see yourself in the Carolinian, on postcards and online (we want all the other grads of the last decade to see what their favorites are up to). And you’ll be a valuable voice into our young alumni initiatives, programming and messaging.
All applications must be submitted no later than December 10th. We’ll announce the Top 5 on December 16th.
Really the question is: why wouldn’t you? Look, this is your chance at fame and fortune (well, sort of) and…did we mention fame?. The two people with the most votes will have the opportunity to represent their peers and their entire University in this first of its kind campaign. They’ll be celebrated, honored, and asked to speak into University endeavors. Not to mention they’ll gain professional experience, knowledge and more during their year as the Face of Y’ALL.
Easy, just get 10 of your fellow alumni to nominate you as a finalist. Once you submit your application, you will be given a link to send to your fellow Gamecocks so they can support you and spread the word.
A group of Carolina’s own will sort through all the applications and pick the five they think best embody what it means to be the Face of Y’ALL. From there, alumni will vote on who they think best represents the University as The Face of Y’ALL. The two grads of the last decade with the most votes will be named the winners in January 2011.
Trust us, as young alumni we know how crazy life can be! So we’ve made sure the Face of Y’ALL duties are easy: We’re talking only a couple hours a month and everything is at your convenience.
